The Challenge

Michelle Sterling and I are challenging ourselves and our fellow writers to write every day in November!

You may be asking, “Why, Tracy, in one of the busiest times of the year, would you take on *another* thing?” (Then again, if you’ve been following me for a while, you know that adding onto an already chaotic to-do list is peak Tracying).

Because writing is often the first thing to slip away when other obligations, from holiday planning to year-end reports, crop up. Isn’t writing the fun part though? The thing you like doing? So set aside some time for yourself and your art.

Ready to participate? Write, post, and tag!

Write, however that looks for you. The goal is the daily commitment to your writing, rather than reaching a set word count or finishing a specific task.

Optional: Post and tag. Head over to Instagram to show us you writing, your work in progress, or your writing setup in a post or in your stories and tag Michelle at @averyandaugustine and me at @tracybaduawrites. Use the hashtag #WriteEveryDayinNovember so other writers in the challenge can find you too!

Bonus: Win a first-chapter critique or picture book consultation!

If you’d like to win a critique of the first chapter of your middle grade or young adult work, leave a comment below! Rather have a one-hour picture book consultation? Hop over to Michelle’s blog and comment there for a chance to win.

The more days you post, the more chances you have to win!

This giveaway is open internationally; see the Instagram post for additional eligibility details.
