Tracy Badua is a Filipino-American author of books full of humor, magic and young people with sunny hearts in a sometimes stormy world. By day, she is an attorney who works in national housing policy and programs, and by night, she squeezes in writing, family time, puppets and bites of her secret candy stash. She lives in San Diego, California, with her husband, chatty toddler and photogenic Maltese.

Brighton Rose is a middle grade and young adult fantasy writer specializing in sky pirates and girls who lie. She’s an Author Mentor Match mentee, Pitch Wars mentee and occasional doodler. She lives in central Texas with an electric piano and 43 houseplants. You’re most likely to find her at a cheap taco place or at a used bookstore, stretching to reach the top shelf.

Join Tustin Library for a spooky night with Tracy Badua, Alexandra Overy, and Lori R Snyder!

Tracy Badua is a Filipino American author of books full of humor, magic, and young people with sunny hearts in a sometimes stormy world. By day, she is an attorney who works in national policy and programs, and by night, she squeezes in writing, family time, and bites of her secret candy stash. She lives in San Diego, California, with her family and photogenic Maltese.

Alexandra Overy is the author of the These Feathered Flames duology, as well as the middle grade fantasy, The Gingerbread Witch. Ever since she was little, she has loved being able to escape into another world through books. She’s been writing as long as she can remember, everything from a screenplay about a stolen Gameboy, to the memoir of the youngest evil overlord ever, to novels about murderous princesses.

In an alternate universe, Lori R. Snyder is a circus performer—probably an aerialist wearing a lot of glitter. In this universe, she’s had many different careers (none of which, sadly, are circus-related): marine biologist, fourth-grade teacher, dancer, yoga teacher and studio owner, book editor, and writer. Venice Beach is one of the great loves of her life, as are kindness, delight, and the sea, and The Circus at the End of the Sea is her love letter to all of those. Lori is also the founder of the Writers Happiness Movement, which offers free happiness tools to writers, at writershappiness.com. Find author info and supplementary materials for kids and educators at www.lorirsnyderauthor.com.
